Business Administration Students Delivered Foreign-Language Business Idea Presentations
Students of the Department of Business Administration at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences of Bartın University carried out an important academic activity by presenting their fictional companies and business ideas in a foreign language within the scope of the Commercial Law, Entrepreneurship, and Occupational Foreign Language courses.
Organized to strengthen the practical dimension of the courses, the event enabled students to prepare projects covering key elements such as company establishment processes, legal infrastructure, business model development, financial planning, and marketing strategies. Within the scope of the Commercial Law course, the legal structures of businesses and contractual processes were examined, while innovative business ideas and sustainability strategies were developed as part of the Entrepreneurship course. In the Occupational Foreign Language course, students presented their projects in English, reinforcing their use of professional terminology while improving their communication skills for the international business world.
Held in the format of a real investor presentation, the event gave students the opportunity to express the feasibility of their business ideas, target market analyses, and competitive advantages in a foreign language through their presentations. In this way, theoretical knowledge was integrated with practice, while students’ analytical thinking and professional presentation skills were supported.
At the end of the event, students contributed to their professional development by experiencing the importance of effective communication and foreign language proficiency in the global business environment. Photographs taken during the program also documented moments from the presentation process.
The Department of Business Administration aims to continue organizing similar events in upcoming semesters where students can transform their academic knowledge into practice and gain an international perspective.
